City Park Grill opened in November of 2007 in downtown Highland Park, on St. Johns Ave. City Park Grill was created by Ted and Michael Holleb, and Arnie Krause (the creators of Forty One North). We were all raised on the NorthShore and have spent the last 20 years working in restaurants on the NorthShore, including Claim Company, Timbers, Stir Crazy, Shaws, Maggiano’s and Forty One North. Having an owner greet you at the door (Ted or Michael), while another is making sure the food is just right (Arnie) is an integral part of our operational success.

CPG offers American comfort foods served in an upscale casual environment. CPG is a scratch kitchen; we prepare soups and sauces in house on a daily basis, bake our own desserts, receive fish daily and source the finest steaks available. Our dining room and bar area reflect a contemporary urban setting offering a mix of booths and tables to create an intimate, yet roomy feel. We offer Carryout (curbside pick up is available), Dinner Delivery, Full Bar Service (with weekday appetizer specials), Reservations, Banquet Events for up to 50. Whether you’re looking for a great steak, a fresh fish or just a quick bite before Ravinia, CPG has something for you.

Excellent menu and the $5 Martini menu was a very nice added touch. The BBQ Brisket was excellent -- loved the sauce! My wife's Crusted Chicken special was also great! Can't wait to get back there for the specials during the week!

02/20/10	Sweet potato fries are excellent. I love the decor in the restaurant and the servers are attentive. The prices are very reasonable. You can keep the cost down by ordering tasty burgers or order something a little more like filet.

03/07/10	we had chicken sandwiches and they were delicious-they came with many toppings and a sweet potato.the food is a bargain and they also have many extra specials!!
